Look Up. Look Down. Look Out — For Three New Videos!

From the ground to the sky, HWW’s new videos cover three important species: the Red-Cedar, the Banana Slug and the Bald Eagle. All three species are of fundamental importance to their habitat, the coastal rain forest, found in British Columbia.

The Banana Slug, sheltered in the shade and humidity at the bottom of the Red-Cedar, helps recycle nutrients by decomposing decaying matter. The Bald Eagle, nesting at the top, brings nutrients from the sea to the forest by eating (and defecating!) a great quantity of fish. And of course, the Red-Cedar is a keystone species. It creates the habitat needed by all sorts of plants and animals of the rain forest.

These new public service announcements will be launched on June 6, 2026 (Banana Slug), September 8, 2026 (Bald Eagle) and November 7, 2026 (Red-Cedar)! Join us on our social media platforms for more info or come back to see us closer to the launch date!
