Many people see urban wildlife as pests that invade homes and gardens. These species are attracted to urban areas by the availability of food and shelter, for example. We can cut down on the conflict between people and wildlife by doing things like storing and sealing our garbage properly and covering holes through which animals can get under and into our houses.
