There's Something Fishy Going On at HWW

This year, Hinterland Who's Who has fallen hook, line and sinker for a sparkling little salmonid in troubled waters.

It's a different kettle of fish for the series, because not only is this HWW’s first fish during its 45-year history, it's the first video vignette to be shot in high-definition and on location in the animal's native habitat — in this case, a tiny watershed in Nova Scotia, where there's only a few hundred left in the wild.

Find out why this native Canadian — as endangered as it is beautiful — was a natural choice for the next vignette. HWW's online fact sheet and videos of the Atlantic whitefish — the 30-second classic and the 60-second youth versions —will tell you everything you need to know.
