Pollinators!

Watch our new webisode “Pollinators: Busy doing what?” on Hinterland Who’s WhoTube.

Pollinators are the animals — primarily insects and birds — which carry pollen from one plant to another, helping them produce fruit and seeds. Without them we wouldn’t have many of the fruits, vegetables and other foods we require.

However, pollinators are threatened in Canada and across the world. Learn more about pollinators like the bumble beemonarch butterfly or the ruby-throated hummingbird. Also, find out what’s buzzing in this year’s National Wildlife Week.
