To some people, wetlands are wastelands. But in fact, wetlands are essential to people and wildlife. They’re like jungles, filled with an amazing diversity of plant and animal life, and are among nature’s most complex ecosystems. Let’s do what we can to protect wetlands.
Here are a few ways how:
• Stay on walking trails to avoid damaging these fragile areas.
• Observe—but don’t disturb—wetland wildlife.
• Join a wetlands conservation group.
