Explore and Embrace a Special Wild Place!

This year, National Wildlife Week (NWW) runs from April 10th to 16th, 2005 and we're urging all Canadians to "Explore and Embrace a Special Wild Place."

Each year, the Canadian Wildlife Federation chooses a wildlife issue or topic as the focus for NWW. This year, we take a look at Canada's special wild places where people connect with nature — a busy birdfeeder in your backyard, a favourite walking trail, or an officially protected area like a national park or bird sanctuary. These places are as important to your well being as they are to the survival of all the wild plants and animals that live there. Learn more about NWW and how you can celebrate by visiting the Canadian Wildlife Federation Web site at www.cwf-fcf.org.
